What is an activation link?

An activation link allows a new event to be created and tagged with the linked primary category after clicking another primary category group or label button. Note that, when a label button is clicked, the label will also be added to the activated event. The primary purpose of activation links is to create multiple events by clicking a single primary category or label button

Activation links between primary categories

Normally, when a primary category button is clicked in the Tagger app, a new event will get created and tagged with this primary category. Using activation links, more events can be created simultaneously, each getting tagged with other primary categories that are linked to the primary category that was clicked. You can follow the steps below to create such links:
  1. Open the card of a primary category from the tag template to view its details.
  2. Click on the "Select Action" dropdown located below the "Manage Tag Links" section. This will display options such as "Activate" and "Deactivate".
  3. Select "Activate" by clicking on its name. This action will bring up another dropdown titled "Select Category". Click on it.
  4. Upon clicking, a list of primary categories included in the current template will appear in the new dropdown. Choose the primary category you wish to apply the activation link to by clicking on its name.
  5. Once selected, "Activate" and the linked primary category will be displayed in green, indicating that the activation link has been applied.
  6. If you need to remove the activation from the linked primary category, click on the delete icon next to it.
  7. After the activation process is complete, navigate to the tagger page.
  8. Click on the primary category button to which the linked primary category has been activated.
  9. Once clicked, both the primary category and the linked primary category will generate two separate events.

Activation links between labels and primary categories

Normally, to create an event in the Tagger app, a primary category button needs to be clicked. When a label button is clicked immediately after, it gets attached to this event. Sometimes, it may be desirable to avoid two clicks and instead create an event with a desired primary category and label, with a single click. To achieve this, activation links between labels and primary categories can be setup. This allows new events to be created when a label button is clicked and tagged with linked primary categories (one per event) and label that was clicked. You can follow the steps below to create such links:
  1. Open the card of a label from the tag template to view its details.
  8. Click on the label button to which the linked primary category has been activated.
  9. Once clicked, both the label and the linked primary category will generate an event. If two primary categories are linked, two events will be generated.
