Conduct side-by-side gait analysis

In this article, you will learn how to conduct side-by-side gait analysis in the Creator app.

Frame-by-frame side-by-side gait analysis

  1. After opening the side-by-side gait analysis, you will see two copies of the same video displayed: one on the left and the other on the right.
  2. Beneath both the left and right videos, there are "START GAIT ANALYSIS" buttons.
  3. For the video on the left, move to the particular frame where you wish to analyze the player's gait, and then press the "START GAIT ANALYSIS" button located below the left video. Once clicked, the gait of the player will be highlighted on their body, as shown below.
  4. Likewise, for the video on the right, navigate to the frame of interest for gait analysis on the player's body, and then click on the "START GAIT ANALYSIS" button located below the right video. Upon clicking, the player's gait will similarly be visually highlighted on their body, as shown below.
  5. This side-by-side gait analysis feature enables you to view and conduct gait analyses on two copies of the same video independently, allowing for a comprehensive comparison or analysis of different frames or moments within the same video.

Side-by-side gait analysis while video is playing

  1. In contrast to single frame gait analysis, the side-by-side gait analysis allows you to observe the highlighted gait even as you advance through the video frames or while the video is playing.
  2. After conducting gait analysis on both the left and right videos, you can play these videos.
  3. As they progress, the highlighted aspects of the gait analysis will remain visible, providing a dynamic and continuous analysis of the gait throughout the video playback as shown below.

Side-by-side gait analysis while forwarding and rewinding video frames using shortcut keys

  1. After conducting gait analysis on both the left and right videos at specific frames, you can navigate through the videos using shortcut keys for a more efficient analysis.
  2. To forward the video frames on the left video, click outside the video and then press the right arrow key. To rewind the video frames on the left video, click outside the video and then press the left arrow key.
  3. Similarly, to move forward through the video frames on the right video, click outside the video and then hold the shift key while pressing the right arrow key. To rewind the video frames on the right video, click outside the video and then hold the shift key while pressing the left arrow key.
  4. These shortcuts facilitate a seamless examination of the gait analysis, allowing for precise control over video playback.
  5. As the video frames are fast-forwarded or rewound, the highlighted elements of the gait analysis will remain visible, offering a dynamic and continuous assessment of the gait throughout the video playback, as shown below.
