Arc

In this article, you will learn how to draw an arc in the Creator app and how to change its color, arrow type, thickness and dash type.

Before you begin

To learn how to open a video in the Creator app of SPAN sports performance analysis platform, refer to this article.

Draw arc

  1. After opening a video in the Creator app, you can enable the arc drawing feature by either clicking on the "Draw arc" button from the default left panel or pressing the "A" key.
  2. Once clicked, navigate to the desired part of the video, click once to start the arc, and then drag it across the video.
  3. Click again to define the direction of the arc and a third time to draw the arrow pointer of the arc.
  4. Adjust the arrow pointer of the arc by dragging, and then click again to complete the arc drawing.

Change color, arrow type, thickness and dash type

  1. Select the existing arc drawing by clicking on it.
  2. Once clicked, the default left panel will get replaced with editing options in the form of buttons specific to the arc, such as "Change color", "Select arrow type", "Select thickness" and "Select dash type".
  3. Click on the "Change color" button. Once clicked, a color picker will appear, displaying the arc's current color as its value. Change the color of the arc by using that color picker as shown below.
  4. Click on the "Select arrow type" button. Once clicked, a menu with three button options will appear: an arc with a one-sided arrow, an arc with arrows on both sides, and a plain arc without arrows. The current arrow type of the arc will be highlighted. Select the desired arrow type for the arc by clicking on it as shown below.
  5. Click on the "Select thickness" button. Once clicked, a menu with five thickness options in descending order will appear as buttons, with the current thickness of the arc highlighted. Select the desired thickness for the arc by clicking on it as shown below.
  6. Click on the "Select dash type" button. Once clicked, a menu with three dash type options will appear as buttons, with the current dash type of the arc highlighted. Select the desired dash type for the arc by clicking on it as shown below.
NotesNote: Clicking on any part of the video, other than the drawing itself, will result in the current drawing being deselected, the drawing options being hidden, and the default left-side panel reappearing.
