In this article, you will learn how to draw single line and multi-line texts in the Creator app and how to change their font color, background color, background color opacity, font type, text alignment and font size.

Before you begin

Draw single line text

  1. After opening a video in the Creator app, you can enable the text drawing feature by either clicking on the "Draw text" button from the default left panel or pressing the "T" key.
  2. Upon clicking, proceed to the desired part of the video, click once to make the text input box appear.
  3. Once clicked, the text input box will display the default text "Type text here". Using backspace key, remove the default text and then type the text you desired in the input box as shown below.

  1. Select the existing text drawing by clicking on it.
  2. Once clicked, the default left panel will get replaced with editing options specific to the text, such as "Change text color", "Change text background color", "Change text background color opacity", "Select font type", "Justify text" and "Select font size".
  3. Click on the "Change text color" button. Once clicked, a color picker will appear, displaying the text's current font color as its value. Change the font color of the text by using that color picker as shown below.
  4. Click on the "Change text background color" button. Once clicked, a color picker will appear, displaying the text's current background color as its value. Change the background color of the text by using that color picker as shown below.
  5. Use the vertical slider "Change text background color opacity" to change the opacity of the background color of the text as shown below.
  6. Click on the "Select font type" button. Once clicked, a menu with thirteen font type options will appear as buttons, with the current font type of the text highlighted. Select the desired font type for the text by clicking on it as shown below.
  7. Click on the "Justify text" button. Once clicked, a menu with three options will appear as buttons to align the text left, center and right, with the current alignment of the text highlighted. Select the desired alignment for the text by clicking on it as shown below.
  8. Click on the "Select font size" button. Once clicked, a menu with five font size options, "1", "2", "3", "4," "5" will appear as buttons, with the current font size of the text highlighted. Select the desired font size for the text by clicking on it as shown below.
Note: Clicking on any part of the video, other than the drawing itself, will result in the current drawing being deselected, the drawing options being hidden, and the default left-side panel reappearing.
