States

The primary purpose of a state is to associating multiple labels with an event, without clicking on all label buttons. States are particularly useful for recording slowly-changing properties of a game, like scores, match halves etc. Any label of a secondary category group can be set as its state. Subsequently, when new events get created, labels that are currently set as a state will be added as a tag to these events. To set a state, you can either "Control + Left-click" or simply "Right-click" on desired label button. This will set the selected label as the state of its associated secondary category group and present a drop-down that includes all labels from the secondary category group. You can modify or update these labels within the state using the drop-down arrows and clicking to select different options.

Setting Up States

To set up such states, follow the steps outlined below:
  1. In the Tagger app, initiate a state for a secondary category group by either using "Control + Left-click" or "Right-click" on the desired label button.
  2. Upon clicking the label button, "STATE" will appear on the label button in the top right corner, indicating that the state has been set up. Simultaneously, a dropdown menu with labels will appear above the button panel, showing the secondary category associated with the label.
  3. To remove a state, select the "Remove" option from the dropdown menu.
  4. After setting up states, click on a primary category to create an event.
  5. Upon clicking on a primary category, the labels marked as states will automatically attach to this event.
