In this article, you will learn how to create, move, resize and delete a rectangle drawing.

Before you begin

Drawings can be added to both images and videos and must be linked with captions. To learn how to create captions in SPAN sports performance analysis platform, refer to this article.

The chart below shows the journey you will take to create, move, resize and delete a rectangle drawing.

Rectangle drawing

1. Click the "+" button located at the top of the left panel to create a new annotation. Once clicked, the annotation will appear on the right side, labeled with the default caption "Caption".
   
2. To link a rectangle drawing to this caption, click the "Draw rectangle" button in the left panel. Then, drag the mouse over the desired part of the video or image to create a rectangle. It should be noted that multiple rectangles can also be linked to a single caption.
   
3. To increase the rectangle's thickness, first select it with the mouse, then click the "Change thickness" button in the left panel. A dropdown menu will appear, offering various thickness options. Select your desired thickness by clicking on it.
   
4. To change the color of the rectangle, select it with the mouse, then click the "Change color" button in the left panel. A dropdown menu will display various colors. Choose your preferred color by clicking on it.
   
5. To move the rectangle, select it with a mouse click and drag it across the video or image frame.
   
6. To resize the rectangle, select it with a mouse click, then adjust its size using its vertices.
   
7. To delete the rectangle, select it with a mouse click and press "Delete" on your keyboard.
