Generate charts with AI

In this article, you will learn how to generate charts in the Tagger app using SportsanalysisGPT.

Before you begin

To learn basics of video tagging in SPAN sports performance analysis platform, refer to this article.

Launch SportsanalysisGPT

  1. After selecting a template and completing the tagging process, you can generate charts using SportsanalysisGPT, the internal AI tool of SPAN.
  2. Proceed to the URL shown below and append "sportsanalysisgpt" at the end, then press the enter key.
  3. Upon doing so, you will be redirected to the SportsanalysisGPT page as shown below.

Enter a query to generate a chart

  1. After launching SportsanalysisGPT, navigate to the input dialog box labeled "Enter your query" to type in your query.
  2. After entering your desired query, you can generate a chart by either pressing the enter key or clicking the button located at the bottom right of the dialog box.

Hover over chart

After generating a chart, hover your cursor over the individual segments of the chart to view their x and y-axis values, as shown below.


Add chart to reports

  1. After generating a chart, you can add it to reports of the "Manage Charts" tab within the tag template editor by clicking on the "ADD CHART TO REPORTS" button located at the top left.
  2. Upon successful addition of the chart, a confirmation message will display in the top right stating, "Chart has been successfully added to reports for this tag template. Details can be edited from the 'Manage Charts' tab in tag template editor."

Download chart as a PNG

To download the chart as a PNG image, click on the "Download plot as a png" button, as shown below.


Other features to examine chart

In addition to downloading the chart as a PNG image, you have access to a suite of features designed to help examine and understand a chart better. These include "Zoom", "Pan", "Box Select", "Lasso Select", "Zoom in", "Zoom out", "Autoscale", "Reset axes", "Toggle Spike Lines", "Show closest data on hover" and "Compare data on hover".
